- Lease purchase available
Depending on budgets and the type of testing to be undertaken,
PIPER offers two models:
CD 1000I - Inertia test system
This type of test is ideal where a quick power verification and
acceleration test is required. It does not allow for any steady
speed or constant load problem to be simulated. All CD1000I models
are manufactured to accept the retro-fitting of the CD1000IA dynamometer
unit.
CD1000ID - Inertia and dynamometer test system
This dynamometer test allows for constant load testing, necessary
if fuel injection or ignition mapping are undertaken or if part
throttle misfires are to be detected. The addition of a gas analyser
during dynamometer testing enables air/fuel ratios to be optimised.

(BSFC) and exhaust emission values, additional monitoring equipment
will be required.
Software
and Instrumentation
- User friendly Windows based software
- Software written 'in house'
- EEC approved components used in all electronics
The monitoring hard and software used with the PIPER Chassis Dynamometers
is a development of the successful PIPER EDA engine monitoring
system. To achieve industry leading accuracy and repeatability,
the roller speed/acceleration is monitored using high-resolution
sensors and dedicated computer counters. PIPER Windows based software
ensures friendly, easy to learn operation.
The CD1000I is supplied with a hand-held controller fitted with
push buttons to activate the computation of the engine RPM-roller
speed ratio and further buttons to stop and start the performance
test, the CD1000IA has additional controls for the display, monitoring
and storage of data.
